From south: from the Alqueva dam, head in the direction of Moura > Póvoa de São Miguel > Luz. The museum is 40km (25 miles) from the dam and 80Km (50 miles) from Beja.

Trains run regularly from Lisbon to Évora, there are also express buses between Lisbon and Mourão and regular buses between Luz and Évora.
