The village of Luz is a small place within sparsely populated Alentejo, where through the Museu da Luz Residencies program, creators and researchers can spend time alone in a quiet setting and a unique landscape – the deep center of a landscape transformed by a large dam. In a time and a space outside of the environment and customary covenants, here one experiences the opportunity for reflection, research and production in a very particular context. You can apply work practices within another community with a unique history, meet new people, work new materials, experience life in a unique and unfamiliar place and immerse in its dynamics.
The Museum House is the home space is also available for some projects the Monte dos Pássaros, as a studio.

The program Museu da Luz Residencies provides this experience, offering all the year a permanent program of residencies. The artists, researchers, curators, dealers, national and international, can apply through the application submission.
