Clay colander – Object of the month for May 2023

Disposable materials, whether plastic or similar, only arrived in Luz at the end of the 20th century. Therefore, objects were made from more resistant and sustainable materials, like the one we’re exhibiting this month.

This is a clay colander used to drain food.

The object is made of glazed clay, with a truncated cone-shaped body with an inverted base and a wavy edge.
