Montado – geografia em mutação – VI acto – Bruno Melo – from October 25th, 2024 to January 05th, 2025

According to the author, this artistic and research project began to take shape in 2022, after several years of visits and involvement with the Mourão-Barrancos territory.

Bruno Melo explains that the project initially emerged from a playful engagement with the territory, marked by moments of retreat from the urban routine. It was in this leisure, this availability, that he found space to observe, listen, savor, and question a new reality.

Over a decade of regular visits, he became aware of the transformations and challenges of living in this territory, which led him to begin this research project.

The artist’s career has included, to date, five important formal stages: three artistic residencies and two previous exhibitions, culminating in this “VI act”, which will now be presented at the Museu da Luz.
