Manual Grinding Wheel – Object of the Month for June 2022

In the month in which the European Archeology Days are celebrated, we exhibit a set of lithic materials found at the Luz 20 archaeosite.
It is a manual grinding system consisting of a dormant element that served as a base and a moving element that was an instrument used to grind the grain. These archaeological materials date from the Chalcolithic period and are an ancient example of milling and agricultural practice.
