Iron stand – Object of the month for May 2025

This month we’re showcasing an unusual object from our collection.
It’s an iron stand, a stylized four-legged animal with a linear body pierced by four holes, three notches on the upper edge, the head elevated on a twisted neck, and the tail curled over the back.
This object was used in fireplaces to support the end of the spit on which meat was roasted.
