Corkdom3: Pedro Portugal Dep. of Visual Arts and Design at the University of Évora 15-18 May 2014

Pedro Portugal and 10 students of the Department of Visual Arts and Design at the University of Évora experienced assembling the prototype of a 6m diameter cork dome over the Museum of Luz.

On 18 May, International Museum Day, a performance was held, live and open to all public, around the installation.

The construction and destruction of the structure was the argument for a short film where there is staged a post-historical context of neo-landscape.

Project integrated in the Residencies at Luz Program, in partnership with the University of Évora and with the support of Amorim – Cork industry.
